Bold Prediction Sees Max Verstappen Lift 2022 F1 Trophy With Enough Season to Spare

It has been a near-perfect start to the season for the Red Bull F1 team with 7 wins from 9 races in 2022. Both world champion Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, have registered their names on this year’s winner’s list. Yet, it has been Verstappen who has absolutely dominated the season.

Former Red Bull driver Mark Webber believes that the Dutch driver could wrap up the championship with three races to go. He is currently leading the title fight from his teammate by 46 points.

“Red Bull will continue to dominate this championship. They have a car that is very good on downforce levels, and on all compounds of the tire. It’s like a tennis player on all surfaces or a golfer on all holes, short, long, chipping, putting, driving.”

“The Red Bull can do everything. Red Bull have pretty much an answer for anything at the moment. Max could wrap it up with three races to go,” said Webber.

He even showered some praise on Sergio Perez for his performances this season.

The Aussie driver mentioned he was impressed with Perez’s performance and but pointed out that he won’t be able to keep up with his world champion teammate. He even gave the example of the Azerbaijan GP to prove his point.

“I like Sergio a lot, but over the course of the season, over time, Max will just find a way to start accumulating bigger points. In Azerbaijan, Max drove away down the road, It was a very emphatic victory. Then in Canada it’s raining, it’s dry, it’s cold, it’s tricky and Max all weekend was phenomenal,” said the Aussie.

Looking at Verstappen‘s advantage this season, it is hard to disagree with Webber’s assessment. The Dutch driver has been in a league of his own this season with 6 wins to his name.

It is hard to see anyone stopping him this season and he could very much wrap up the title before the last race. Let’s see how the 2022 season and the title fight pans out for Red Bull and Verstappen.
